As we talk about wedding bands, a lot of people usually focus on finding the perfect ring for the bride. Although that’s completely normal, it would be better if the bride would also try to find the perfect wedding ring for her groom.
Gone are the days when only the bride gets a wedding ring. In most modern wedding ceremonies today, the exchange of rings happens. That means it’s equally important to find the right ring that your future husband would never take off.
Here are some tips for that.
Tip #1: Groom’s Taste and Personality Keep in mind, the groom would be wearing his wedding ring for years to come. That means you should opt for one that matches his personality and style. A lot of men prefer plain wedding rings, because it’s perfect for almost all occasions. That said, look for a ring that has a simple stone, and nothing extravagant.
You should visit Ringleaders in Brisbane as they offer some of the best rings for men; giving you the assurance that you’ll definitely find something that suits your taste.
Tip #2: What Is His Lifestyle?
It’s important to pay attention to the groom’s lifestyle. Does he use his hands for manual labour? If so, then it’s ideal to get him a metal that could withstand repeated abuse without getting easily damaged.
Tip #3: Set a Specific Budget
Although this is not romantic at all, it’s ideal to set a realistic budget before you shop for a wedding ring. Try to determine how much you’re willing to spend once you hit jewellery shops. This would make the process easier, and it would also prevent you from getting a wedding ring that’s way out of your budget.
Visit shops that offer rings with the best prices all year round, as this would help you save a lot.
Tip #4: It Should Be Compatible with the Bride’s Ring
As much as possible, the groom’s ring should match with the bride’s ring– they should work together, just like the couple. That means the styles, metals, and stones should be complimentary and harmonious with each other.
We’re not saying that the groom’s ring should simply be the male version of the bride’s wedding band. However, the two should look good together and have an aesthetic harmony.
Tip #5: Professional Sizing
This is a must even when the groom already knows his ring size. It’s always a good idea to have it confirmed by a professional. Likewise, there’s no need to worry about any additional costs, because most jewellers would be willing to size the rings for free. However, if you want this to be a surprise, what you can do is secretly borrow one of your fiancé’s rings and take it to the jeweller.
Final Words
Today, aside from the bride’s ring, the groom’s ring is equally important to any wedding ceremony. Although it doesn’t usually get the same attention, it doesn’t mean that it should be ignored. The groom’s ring should be something he’d love to wear for years, and so, you should be willing to allot some time and effort to look for the perfect band for your loved one.
